Benefits of memorizing the Quran

For Muslims, memorizing the Quran is an important religious activity. The Quran’s 6,236 verses are divided into 30 portions and serve as the foundation for Muslims’ daily prayers and remembrances of Allah. Furthermore, Muslims believe that memorizing the Quran will be rewarded in the hereafter since it is an act of worship.

Benefits of Memorizing the Quran

The importance of memorizing the Quran cannot be overstated!

The Holy Quran is Allah Almighty’s book, which He gave to His Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a guide and reference for Muslims and a source of illumination for the Islamic people. The Glorious Quran is kept by Allah Almighty till the end of time, and it is also kept in the hearts of Muslims. Allah Almighty revealed the Glorious Quran to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as he (peace be upon him) was worshipping in the cave of Hira through our leader Hazrat Gabriel (peace be upon him).

  1. Because the Quran is Allah Almighty’s word, memorizing it will be the finest thing you’ve ever done! Memorizing the Quran will provide you with many opportunities.
  2. Memorizing the Quran entails performing 10 good actions for every letter! If you know, for example, that the shortest Surah in the Quran, Surah Al-Kawthar, has 42 letters, you’re halfway there. This Surah may be read in seconds, which means that every time you read it, Allah Almighty will add 420 good acts to your account, each of which is far better than this world and all in it!! Consider how many good acts you will accrue if you read the entire Quran, which has over 300,000 letters!!
  3. The Quran contains all of the sciences of this world and the next, as well as ancestor and successor stories. Many scientific, cosmological, legal, and medical truths are included, as well as clauses, regulations, and legislation that govern a believer’s life and make him considerably happy. This suggests that memorizing the Quran is like memorizing the world’s largest encyclopedia.
  4. This Quran, which you have memorized and kept, will be your companion when you die!! It will be your advocate and intercessor if you are abandoned by those closest to you. “Read the Quran, it will be the intercessor of its companions on the Day of Resurrection,” the Prophet (PBUH) declares. Will there be a better time than when you encounter Allah Almighty on the Day of Resurrection and you have memorized His words?
  5. Because of the traditional Arabic you learn from memorizing the Quran, your ability to express yourself will improve. Because memorizing the Quran is not like remembering poetry, a narrative, or a song, you will have greater skill for coping, perseverance, and patience. When you memorize the Quran, however, you are actually altering your attitude toward everything around you, and as a result, your conduct will be guided by what you have remembered.
  6. The Quran is a cure for both physical and mental illnesses. What about those who memorize the entire Quran? If reading Al-Fatiha (The Opening) cures a sick if Allah permits, what about those who memorize the entire Quran? You will be free of demonic whispering, and your physical immunity will improve as a result of the profound changes you will through while memorizing the Quran. This isn’t just a theoretical lecture; it’s a lived experience for individuals who have memorized the Quran or sections of it.
