To remember that everything is for His sake, we begin all our deeds in the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, and the Most Benevolent. With the name of Allah, we begin in the hopes of being successful, rewarded, and blessed. Before we, or others, begin an action or a major assignment, most of us will say something. It assists us in entering the zone, being prepared, and marking the start.
When we say Bismillah, we are essentially reminding ourselves that everything is for Allah (SWT) alone. Allah alone is responsible for our sustenance, destinies, and akhirah.
