وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي

وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِّن لِّسَانِي

يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي

Transliteration: Rabbishrah lee sadree Wayassir lee amree Wahlul ‘uqdatan min lisanee Yafqahoo qawlee.

Translation: “O my Sustainer!” says the translator. Open my heart and make my duty easier for me, and untie the knot in my tongue so people can completely comprehend what I’m saying.”

رَّبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا

Transliteration: Rabbi zidnee ‘ilman.

Translation: “Increase my understanding, O my Lord!” 

رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ

وَاجْعَل لِّي لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِي الْآخِرِينَ

وَاجْعَلْنِي مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيمِ

Transliteration: Rabbi hab lee hukman waalhiqnee bialssaliheena Waj’al lee lisana sidqin fee alakhireena Waj’alnee min warathati jannati anna’eem.

Translation: “My Lord, grant me knowledge, and place me among the virtuous; give me a fair name among future generations; and make me one of those who get the Garden of Bliss.” 

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ وَمِنْ قَلْبٍ لَا يَخْشَعُ وَمِنْ نَفْسٍ ‏لَا تَشْبَعُ ‏ ‏وَمِنْ دَعْوَةٍ لَا يُسْتَجَابُ لَهَا‏

Translation: “O Allah, I seek shelter in You from the knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that does not entertain Allah’s dread, from a soul that is unsatisfied, and from a request that does not get a response.”
